There's really no "best",it all comes down to what works for you! and your sled, more then oil comes into play when it comes to PV cleanliness, fuel, oil, oil pump setting, how you ride all has a part into it, But running a synthetic helps for sure that and routine maintenance on the valves.
but to answer your Q Amsoil,Klots and others are good, try a search,i run Amsoil interceptor in everything for the extra detergent additives it has and excellent base stock for lubricity for cyl walls and bearings.

I like klotz and amsoil, they both are really good. I run amsoil, its as good or beter and its a little cheaper, the amsoil interceptor is made specifically to work well with power valved motors.

I really like Blue Marble. Plan to use it again this year. It works well and doesn't smell.
Well pull apart 1 motor thats runs amsoil, and one that runs klotz as i have and it will be hands down klotz, thats my 2cents.

So do I...? You mean you use KLOTZ and are a Millonaire...?
I don't run oil on my sleds, because of threads like this one....

I have run Klotz for racing and trail riding for a couple of decades...IMO on non power valve engines Klotz is as good as it gets! I occasionally have also run Maxima, + Amsoil in some of my 2 stroke equipment with no complaints. Since aquiring my SRX and running Klotz , I have found my power valves have been building quite a bit of carbon.[probably completely my fault due to oil pump settings + jetting] This season I am going to try Red Line[only in my SRX] to see if my Power Valves stay any cleaner. The bottom line for me is NEVER CHEAP OUT ON OIL!!!!! Find a quality product you like, keep your oil pump set properly, jet the sled correctly, and forget about it. They make so many product brands for a reason...we all are individuals and have our own preferances...thank goodness!!!!

How did you like that Legend oil?Was it very low smoke with a pleasant smell and improved throttle response as they say?One guy at a fall snow show selling it called it throttle in a bottle, lol!Stephfg said:This is what it looks like with Blue Marble and Legend ZX2R (after 23,600 km):
