I agree, the stock material is a very poor choice for the bushings. I made a complete set of bushings for my 2003 RX1 using a phosphorus bronze material and an oil-lite material. I also added zerk fittings to as many bushing locations which did not have them. For every bushing location which had a zerk fitting, I used phosphorus bronnze. For all the other bushings I used oil-lite. I made the shaft for the upper tube of the W arm using stainless steel since the stock aluminum would not be the best choice with the hard bushings. The skid has about 1500 miles on it and the new bushings show no wear at all. I am in the process on repaeting this for both of my 2000 SRX sleds. Both phosphorus bronze and oil-lite materials are very easy to machine, as easy as delrin but will outlast delrin or any other plastic many times over. I am also making all the bushings for the front end using phos. bronze and oil-lite. I'll see how long it takes me to make 2 sets, I might be interested in making these bushing kits for TY members. I'll post some pictures on the site as I get the bushings made and start to reassemble the suspension.
