with catch and run to 9500 rpm o.k. When I put it away last season it ran fine. I've Never had an issure with this sled. Got 3000 mi. on it. My wife drives it easy.
I'm hopeing it's just some junk that needs to be cleaned out with a good run and some carb cleaner in the tank. But I am open to suggestions if that doesn't work. Double dose of carb or Seafoam? It's shot in the dark I know.

Take your carbs off and clean them. There is a great write up in the TECH section about this.

Yup pull cabs and clean, blow all jets and passages out with shop air, when held up to light make sure you can see daylight through the jets, pilots are little tougher holes are tiny take your time check float height etc,all stock specs are in tech, top of page link.
see this stuff every year when guys pull out and start riding...no mechanic in a can is going to help, you got get dirty and get in there

always the same issues during beginning of season. You must take the carbs out and apart and clean...clean...clean them. daman...if you had a $1.00 for everytime you have to tell people to clean them carbs.you would be millionaire by now.

haha...

Sled should rev 8500 rpm. Your massively killing your drivetrain & desperately need clutching.

with those extra 1000 rpm's..you are losing power and burning more gas.An explosion is coming soon. Wouldn't want my chaincase to go Kaboom at them rpm's.Or the clutch or the motor........

Thanks
I got a heated shop and air.Cleaning carbs will be different for me. I'll see if I can fit it in and do it. Bad timeing as I'm so busy these next few weeks. Got a large job I have to do by mid January. Anyone up here in Northern NH willing to help out and make a few bucks?

I got the carbs off but I can't seem to find were the 2 clear gas hoses hanging under the center carb goes to now. I should have paid more attention to pulling them slowly. My fear is they go under the engine. They are listed as # 83 PIPE 8A7-14197-00-00 in the parts diagrahm.

They don't go anywhere. That's the vent system. They just dangle under the motor.

Thanks I guess I caught a break. Found some soft white gel sitting on the pilot jet were the screw driver slot is. Just on one carb.

Sled works great now. Glad I was pushed by you guys. I lucked out in that any of the small parts I might have missed or dropped I got back in order. Inside of carbs was spotless. Just some soft white gel blocking the pilot jet hole.
Now I hope I can remember this next year. LOL

Funny thing is this is the 1st. time in 5 years for this sled. But my outboad is 16 years old (150 hp 2 stoke Merc V6) and runs fine. Also the Chain Saw etc. has always ran fine. Why then just the sleds? Maybe I didn't add the stabil in the right quanity or something.. The insides were spotless on these carbs. But they were easy to do thanks to TY's Tech Page's.

Sled carbs have big bowls that hold allot of gas,and tiny tiny tiny pilot jet holes so it don't take much to block them when you got untreaded or undrained float bowls.Capt Caper said:Funny thing is this is the 1st. time in 5 years for this sled.
