Im running slp tri keels , the skis carbides are worn out looking for pros and cons of upgrading to more aggresive carbide, combo every type of ridding out this way, making it hard to pick need help" mountain srx 98

Im not a pro tuner by any means. I have found that long carbides cause greater turning effort. so too much carbide = hard turning too short= less control. finding the happy medium is the goal. i find that 8" is the magic number for me. Im sure many other factors come into play though.

I agree, too much carbide makes the sled very "jerky" when turning around a corner, while too little causes it to push through the corner. I also run 8" and find that to be very good.
