Viper Wont Start

Viper will not turn over. Manual start, new plugs. Stabil in tank. Every year its starts with a little effort. This year nothing at all. Suggestions???
 
check for spark? could be weak coils or ??? try tapping on the coil packs a little bit.
 
if it just won't start, try pouring a table spoon of gas down each spark plug hole. give Put the plugs back in, and give it a pull. If it doesn't start then... you're in trouble!

Mine is always a dog to get running after sitting for the summer.
 
Usually when I start it in the fall, it takes about 30 pulls with choke wide open. This year i pulled more than 60 times with choke open. Just doesnt start. I put fresh plugs in aswell. Should I pull the plugs to check for spark?
 
I had the same problem with mine this year after i cleaned the carbs. I pulled on that thing until i thought my arm was going to fall off. What i ended up doing is checking for spark, and i had spark on all 3, then pulling the carbs back off, cleaning them again just in case i missed something. then i plugged 2 of the fuel lines leading to the carbs. Gave the tank a little air pressure, and pulled until fuel came out the line. repeated this for the other two lines. then i put the carbs back on and made sure all electrical connections were hooked up. Instead of pulling on the thing trying to get fuel in the bowls, i just put a 22mm socket on my drill and spun the primary. It worked great, started on the 3rd pull.

Yes, I'd pull the plugs and attach them to the plug wires, lay them on the head and check for spark. If you have spark than I'd add a little pre-mix down the plug holes and try again.

I see you mentioned you are using Stabil. For areas with oxegenated fuel (ethanol) Yamaha does not recommend storing fuel over summer.

I'd drain the fuel and add at least 1/2 tank of fresh fuel, pull the carbs and clean.
 
Somtimes a little premix down each hole then pull to start is needed,2-3 times doing that and she'll light..
 
I always put gas down the plug holes with alittle squirt bottle, saves time,shoulder, and cursing!!
 
I had a hard time starting my sled this year, what I did though was drained a little too much gas from the tank. added some fresh and 3 pulls later it fired up. Just trying to give any help.
 
man my sled was abear to start as well but in my case putting a set of plugs in made all the difference in the world. Also when you remove the plugs pull it over a bunch of times youll find its much easier to pull over with little compression. Adding premix down the holes works but i find you need to repeat the process a lot. I know im going to rig up a primer bulb that i can easily remove once of got it running for the first time of the season.
