NEED HELP! SRX, EDGE SKID, 8 tooth extrovert drivers

Does anyone have this set up? My problem: Rail tips are hitting the drivers. I cut the plastic down and rounded it off. Still rubs. Can I cut the acutal rail back a little bit and then put the tips on? Will it compromise the angle of the track ride? Is there some sort of front wheel kit to help if i did that? I am looking for any thoughts or suggestions. Trying to get this back and running for the weekend.

I'm doing this also. On my 98 srx with a 151 skid from 02 rmk. You have any pictures? I havent started yet though. :letitsnow
 
how far back did you cut the rail? I did you leave the plastic tip alone, or cut that also?
 
You could remove axle and have the stubs on the kogs turned down on a lathe.There is lots of material to work with or remove there without a issue but it sucks pulling the track back out of course.

The anti-stab kit replaces the cross shaft that the limiter strap attaches to, so i chopped the rail an inch in front of the hole for the cross shaft
 
did you put the cap back on? if so, did you modify it at all?

edge skid with 9t extros with my drop and roll mm chassis. I did a skid set back in conjunction with the rail tip trimming/plastic tip shortening and it worked fine. I have seen Polaris RMK's in the edge chassis running without the tips and they seem to work just fine. I too recommend an ant-stab kit for piece of mind if nothing else.
