07 Attak Skis for Viper?

I have a quick question...will 07 Attak GT skis fit on a 02 Viper? Has anyone done this swap, and how did the sled steer / handle? I have the older Simmons twin carbide skies and I'm not all that happy with them.
 
If I may make a suggestion, I'd say look into a set of Kimpex Arrow skis and Jagged Edge runners. I put a set on my 01 SRX and I gotta say they're mint. You'll never have to put up with understeer or darting again. They ride like they're on rails.
All Yamaha skis IMO suck. Aftermarket is a must.

They will bolt on..but keep in mind, your sled will sit about 1" lower up front. The stockers on the Viper have a ski saddle/shoe that the spindle sits up on. Whereas the Apex skis are saddle-less and the spindle sits down inside the ski.

Just my opinion, you wont see much improvement. The stockers on my '07 Attak lasted 150 miles (1 ride) then off they came. I had C&A's on my SRX, loved them, and bought a set for my Attak. Never looked back.

Any aftermarket ski you go with will be better than stock. I heard the Kimpex Arrows are a good buy and a drastic improvement over stock.

Thanks for the input. I still plan to at least try the Attak skis, and we'll see what happens. Never know, but always good to hear others opinions. I am not a real agressive rider, so being "on rails" in not as important to me as it might be to others. Really what I'm looking for is a little easier steering when we ride long days on packed trails. My Simmons skis have always had a darting problem on packed or icy trails. It is especially bad on a plowed, packed down road. My buddy tried riding my sled, and he even said it was "dangerous".

I have aligned the skis several times, with the recommended toe from the Yammi manual. I have even tried xero toe, and more, and less toe to see what effect it would have. I have also tried more and less preload on the skis using the front track strap, and by adjusting the front shock spring preload. Not much luck.

But, when I put my buddies SXr stock skies on, the sled steered better and no darting !!! So, maybe the Attak skis will help.....I'll let you know !!!
 
the attack skis sit the same as the stock viper skis, just lighter in weight. i reccomend the ski shim from the tec pages as it really helps. i used my stockers untill last season with the shim and they handled awsome.
 
I have Attack skis on my Vmax, love em!!! you loose an inch plus but I bought some mounts off of eBay to gain the inch and a half back, 40 bucks.
plus 12 lbs lighter than my steel skis! ;)!
