Will a 98-99 crank work in a 2000 case? Trying to get a motor back together and not having any luck fixing the 2000 crank as there are no service parts available for it.

Try that link for crank parts...
Cases and PTO bearings are different on the 2000-2002 SRXs...If you install the big one peace PTO bearing on the 98/99 crank it should work. Viper cranks[porkchop style] will work in the 2000-2002 SRXs as well...same cases.
