I removed the shock bracket I installed two years ago when swapping to Viper/Venture front end. The first four photos are of the bracket installed (right side) taken from right rear, right straight on (standing at the ski), from the left side standing at the ski and finally from under.
It appears to me that the shock eyelet could have used another degree or so of canter based on the memory of the shock bushing.
The fifth pic is my crude attempt at drawing the dimensions and it may be hard to read the measurements so they are listed as follows:
- Overall length = 136mm
- bottom bolt hole (at center) from bottom of bracket = 12.5mm
- bolt hole to bolt hole on center = 84mm
- shock bushing from top bolt hole (CtoC) = 26mm@rear / 28mm@front
- Eyelet canter = 95 degrees
- Bracket width = 32.5mm
- Bracket thickness = 5.5mm
My rough estimation is that the bracket raises the top shock mount about 57mm +/- 2mm from the stock SRX location
I would recommend tacking the eyelet to the bar stock at the bottom and install (including mounting the shock) than make fine adjustments to the angle before removing and final welding. I would also recommend adding a gusset or two on the underside of the eyelet to avoid the bracket from bending.
