Fuel Range 97 SX7

If tuned/running good and depending on your thumb should see 11-12,13+ in that area,,on a long nice ride with not many stop and go's i got 12+ on my well tuned stock twin 600 last year,i was impressed.

Yea 120 miles on a tank easy, unless your really running the sled wide open across lakes non stop in deep snow, then it sux it, worst I think I've ever gotten was about 80 miles on a tank, that was some deep hard riding non stop though.

i think tanks hold 42 litres is a little over 9 gallons 9 times 14mpg 126.00 miles
12 gallons on the pro-action models,10 on the older VM(94-97) and 9 and less on the older yammies.

I have a 2000 SX-r 700 with bender pipes just bought and modded before ever riding.. do you know what the range is on that one.. 12g tank.
I am running 150 mains.

Thanks

i would say not much more then 120 miles, usally modded sleds get crap for mileage(9-10) but not always you'll just have to track it.

I'm from Quebec and with the stock pipes and 1 inch track I always do more than 160-175km(100-110mi) on a tank on trails. Now if i go playing off trails with triple pipes and 1-1/4 track it will drop easily to 110km(70mi) isshhhh. :P

I have a piped 700 sx and I get anywhere between 120 and 140 miles to the tank, depending on snow conditions. (sled miles , that is!)

I am in newfoundland and jetted many 700's over the years here no issues. I ran 140 pto, 137.8, 137.8 needle dropped 1 clip and 40 pilots with 1.5 turns on fuel screws. We run -25C at the lowest temperature and 0-2000ft air is a bit humid here close to water dryer climates may have to run a little richer. I have ran 260 + km with setup. I have now moved to tripple pipes and ran out last tear at 198km.

Managed 96 miles on roads and fields right from my suburban door in the recent big snow we had. Not sure I could get to 120 miles with what's left in the tank and my oil was WAY LOW. Seems like a lot of oil use for 96 miles.
