Ok, I keep fouling out plugs and am wondering the proper way to warm up these 600 red heads. I normally start with full choke. As soon as it starts, I drop to half choke and then let it idle for a couple minutes. Then I shut off the choke and blip the throttle for a couple more minutes.

On the wifes 600 we start by using full choke and once started flip to half for possibly 15 seconds, while reving engine, then no choke still reving engine to 2000 or so. fliping half choke on and off every once in a while. once engine is somewhat warmed up we take off, this is only running for maybe a couple minuts max. usually change plugs in fall only. We have not had a fouled plug in any of our sleds for past 3 years. Al

My experience is choke til it starts, half for just a few seconds and see if it will run without. Once it will idle without any choke, just walk away and let it sit and run till you have heat in both running board heat exchangers. Should be good to go.

full choke to start, after start choke OFF,if starting to stall blip choke till runing then back off choke, repeat on /off till stays running(few mins.)

Another..Check your plug caps!

Yeah, I know this is outdated but a good reminder on how a well tuned sled should start and not foul plugs.
I just changed mine out. I never had fouled a plug, always ran good ( I thought). My plug cap readings were 5.14, 4.83,4.17. Replaced with TB05EM-A.
