What is the deflection/ movement that acceptable through the hole in top of the case? Also is there supposed to be a cover of sorts for that hole?

No there was never a cover ment to be there,pushing down with your finger it souldnt flex down more then 1/4" less is better,you want it tight it drives two pumps.

........l just found a old manual on CD, 8mm play 10-14kg of pressure.
What a pain in the a$$ to ajust, i guess there a special shims one has to get.
lve put a cork cover over that inspection hole, it doesnt seem to like powder in the hole, squeals a little. lt was the nosie that got me thinkin.

it's not a bad job i've done many many times,you remove a shim to tighten the belt if your in spec run er!!!!1993Vmax4 said:Thanx D

i've got a special spring gauge that i use to set deflection on WP belts but i'm anal.
