Differences between the 98-99 SRX engine and the 00 engine

Guys, what are the differences between the 98-99 SRX engine and the 00 engine? I know there was a difference in the crankshafts (I think the difference is the 00 and newer cranks were welded) and the port timing in the 00 and later engines produced a bit more power. I have 3 cylinders which were trail ported, some new power valves, heads plus some misc. engine parts. I'd like to build a spare engine. There are plenty of used parts still available. Thanks!!
 
V-Force reeds

I have a set of V-Force reeds which I took out of a recently rebuilt engine. I am returning the modified engine to bone stock condition. I want to sell the V-Force reeds but I do not know which version they are. How can I tell if they are V-Force, 2,3, etc.?? I should probably post pictures of them.

Thanks to NYSRX for selling me a new set of stock reeds for a terrific price!!

The Vforce 1's have black cage with screws
The Vforce 2's have a light grey plastic cage
The 3's have black plastic cage...no screws, they snap together, otherwise they look similar to the 1's
