need a little help from you experts how can i make it backshift quicker
do i need a different colour spring and helix if you hold it from the start it pulls hard but if you let off and hit again it takes awhile any help would be great

stiffer spring would help backshift faster, helix also effects it too the steeper the helix the faster it shifts out but also efects how fast it shifts back. if you go too stepe then you will bog due to lack of power for how fast it is shifting out. most people that this bothers alot end up getting roller secondary clutches. allot more responsive feel to it for when you are off and on the throttle. i also have to ask if anything is done to your sled. ive known of a few people that had their sleds ported and i must have been to radical or something because it gave them alot of power if they were steady on the throttle but trail riding was not very responsive for off and back on the throttle. good luck

also make sure the secondary is clean and your bushings and buttons are good, worn bushings can cause it to hang open, also what spring do you have and what wrap? you can try wrapping one tighter depending on where youre already at

backshifting

sorry its nall stock clutches are cleanes would like it too be a little quicker in the trail

at what number you put the secondary wrap ....at 70 it should work good with stock clutching

need to know where the secondary spring is set ... 3-3 4-3 u got a number on the helix and a number in the secondary clutch himself ... need to know where the spring is set

so does 70 sound right is that 4 on the helix and 3 on the secondary or do i get a stiffer spring thanx guys

Do some research on clutching tons of info and lots you can do to help out your situation!! Need to know what your sled rpms are at start of run shift out and at wot. Then we can tell you how much to wrap the secondary. I sometimes run mine at 80 6 on helix 2 on sheave if I want it to back shift real good. To be making best hp you need to be 8100-8200rpm climbing to 8500. That is idea. If you can make it so you wrap your helix up one more(for better backshift) but be in that rpm range (most hp)that would be idea!!
