Track for SRX. give me your personal opinion

I need a new track. So many options and variables. I ride hard aggressive trail. im on a private lake thats about 3/4 of a mile long. frozen over now. long story short, all i do is spin on the hole shot when im on the lake. :o| i NEED to hook up. please give me your success. i wanna launch and not look back on these 800 ski poo's, xcsp's and so on. Thanks guys.
 
1 inch track + studd so awsome how it work ...still cannot beleive myself lolll
 
Camoplast would b my first choice. also have access to kimpex up here. i would buy it predrilled. ya, its a do it yourself. 800 bucks would b plenty for me.
 
When my srx was stock I ran a 9791 Camoplast its a .725" full block track with 196 1" studs and bender ts-3 rods. That thing would hook and give you great top end, now I switched to a 9830 with no studs but I dont play on ice anymore.
 
1" hacksaw for lake running/groomed trail w/ 144 megabites & double alum. backers. sounds like you also need a set of adjustable transfer rods. bender is now reproducing their t3 rods.

same here 1" hacksaw 144 up the middle, would be my first choice although i went with a predator cause i got a smoking deal, personally i wouldnt by a predrilled cause i think they all come drilled outside the skid rails, if they have predrilled up the middle then fine, i just cant bring myself to pay extra for something i'm perfectly capable of doing myself
 
good point. i can drill em out myself. make up a template quickly perhaps. i have the transfer rods already. what length of studs are u running with the 1" track? 1"? hacksaw seems to b the keen choice i think i should try one out. the www primary with 4.5 g rivets stock weights, with green secondary wrapped at 70 is killer right now. seems to b a great clutch set up for my unit. just need it to hook up out of the hole and im'a gonner. thanks for ur input guys. much appreciated
 
whats your engagement with the www you might need more than 144 depending on your weight and engagement if youre looking to hook and go on ice, but you can always add if its not enough, i'm about 270 and with a fett bros 150/300, heavy hitters, dalton 54/46 and green @ 60 and 144 gold diggers, it would blow loose on bare ice in a drag race, but i was doing radar runs so i could roll into it

I like that set up as well as it also shouldn't hurt top speed much...so when you get ahead they can't even come close to "Reeling you in"!
 
sweeet... i guess i will just start looking for the best deal. my engagement is about 38-3900 rpm , I weigh about 190 pounds. I have the stock yami track on it right now. studded in the " v" pattern, i blow out like crazy. some studs are bent over. its a tad beat up for sure
 
use woody's mega bites. they don't bend & have a large surface are...like a chisel. my srx is almost 200 h.p. & i haven't bent one yet.

I've been very happy with my Kimpex 1" agressor with 144/1.075" 60 degree woodys inside and out. Not sure how it compares to the hacksaw other than I'm sure it's heavier. With the full length lugs, clipping or wearing away at the HX protectors is required.

I've found it a big plus on nareled starting line ice when the surface has been chewed up. Noticed a slight decrease top end on ice (2-3 mph by GPS in two weekends) but higher trail speeds compared to the yoko with the same woodys, but 48 more of 'em.

Very durable track.

hey thanks for that input. glad to hear that the kimpex is holding up. Im gonna see whats going on for deals around here. just thought i would get an idea of where to start. great help.

No matter which track you choose be sure your rail tips are on there and staying put or you could be throwing money down the drain! I learned the hard way!
 
Transfer rods are a must with any track. I have a unstudded Hack with no studs and transfer rods on max transfer and it launches hard on hard pack!
