Track for SRX. give me your personal opinion

no vids but i do have the dyno sheets ( dynotech ) 194 h.p. on mobil 92 & trail safe jetting. jim said if i jetted it down for that day 200+.

Yes the ski's will be off the ground often. It deff hurts the cornering so make sure you get "wrenchless" adjustable so you can adjust on the fly based on the conditions and situations...
 
I'm running a Camoplast Ice Attak on my SRX this year and so far I have to say I'm impressed. It's a 1" Hacksaw with 240 lug studs. It really hooks on hard pack and on ice I'd say it's equal traction to 96 picks down the middle. The big gain is the weight savings. There is deff less resistance there. Primo track for aggressive trail riding. The Ice Ripper XT (Ripsaw) is probobly even better.
 
I love my Ripsaw but I'm into long distance trail not hooking up on ice. What I understand about predrilled is that the holes are made by the mold, so you're not cutting any of the cords in the track when studding. My Ripsaw is predrilled only in the middle (no plan for studs but it was the only one left a few years ago when I bought it).
 
ya maybe im looking for the best of both worlds here. i just thought u would want the max stud length so u dig in more. dont get why 1" track with 1.075 studs would hook up better than 1.25 inch studs. seems like common sense but... havent done any experimenting
 
I'd say 1" carve with 144 up the middle.......not bad for high speed runs......

one thing is the longer the stud the more they're going to bend over under acceleration which does two things 1. hard on the track 2. with the picks bent back they're no longer biting

I put 1 1/4 ripsaw on for trail riding with no studs. On packed trails the sled hooks hard coming out of the turns.

I know last summer there was a very long post on here where everyone posted their setups. It was excellent reading. After reading the post I went to the dealer and purchased a take off Ripsaw.
