93 Phazer 2 Not Runnign Well

93 Phazer. Has not been run in 2 years. Recently started it ran it for a short time and it wasn't running well. Doesn't have enough power to pull away. Shut it off and pulled the plugs and 1 plug looks like it wasn't firing, very clean. Put in another set of plugs, same thing. I was thinking it was a plug wire or perhaps the coil, but it will start and run with just one plug wire on either side. The side that doesn't seem to be running well is the clutch side. When it is running with only one plug wire on it obviously doesn't run well, but when I put the other wire on, it doesn't run much better.
 
I would check your coil. and if thats not it I have heard of the stator going out before with the same symptoms that you're describing. pray its the coil!
 
Clean the carbs to start with !!

Could...but..like said above, I would check the carbs for sure. I clean all of mine 1st thing. The gas supply today is so SH&&Y that you just do not know!!
Fact is, I have the carbs from my wifes 93 Phazer II sitting on the bench right now. Cleaned them last night, will install tonight & then right after Christmas, pulling the carbs off the Vmax 4 & doing them next.

Annual PM for sure, IMHO !!!

And usually, its fuel vs electrical, but ya never know!!
