sounds like the dcs is going into limp mode, does the light flash when you first start the machine, if not bulb could be burnt out.
as far as what the cause could be, did you clean the carbs this season, fresh gas or last years?

had the the carb clean last year at the end season and yes the light flash on started up around 2 tanks of gas so far

pilot jets are probably plugged. DCS is coming on cause its leaning put. 5 minute job.
I'm not too familiar with the 02 SRX but what you describe sounds almost exactly what has happened to me on my 95 VMAX and 07 Apex, and in both cases the TORS (throttle over-ride system) was activating. Did the sled kind of sound like a rev limiter engaging? Did any dash lights flash? Seems that my VMAX had a TORS light that would flash, and the Apex has a flashing yellow light with a code# on the display. There are likely many posts here on TY related to TORS operation and adjustments, I'm sure a search would provide more help from the experts than I can.

You should always clean the carbs at the beginning of the season, doesn't do much good to do them at the end. They get "dirty" from the fuel sitting in them over the summer and then evaporating, leaving crud behind that then flows into your circuits when you fire it up again the next year. That's why it takes so many pulls to get them to fire up after sitting all summer, have to pull until it re-fills the bowls. Then the gas collects up all the crud from the evaporated fuel and carries it along through the circuits. A lot of people get away with it, it manages to pass all the crud, but also read every year about burn downs from this. Usually the first warning sign is it won't idle without the choke on halfway.
Your problem right now sounds like the TORS is activating. Since the carbs were cleaned at the end of last season, whoever put it all back in probably got the throttle cable too tight. Give the throttle cable a little more slack where it attaches at the carb rack, and give it a try again. Good luck, hope this fixes it for you.

He said DCS is NOT coming on,OPer does it sound like a cars rev limiter? bla, bla, bla and wont gain over 3,000 rpm's?? post back with these answers.
I have not had this issue.
If the TORS checks out[I would bypass it to test] + the DCS light flashes on start up my next thought would be a defective CDI box.
Most electronic modules, that are defective, start acting up after a bit of running time when they get warmed up or hot...kind of like what is happening here? Maybe the CDI is faulting to the limp mode?

It sounds like the TORS
I had the same problem last year.

Bypass the TORS and if it works you have a broken wire somewhere or one of the two TORS switchs are not working. There is one switch in the throttle trigger and one on the carbs. Like “mod-it” said, if your throttle cable is to tight then the TORS system won’t work correctly.
I had one of the TORS wires broke in the steering column.

hey guys thanks for the help will try a few thing see if it work let you no what goes on
hey I roll my sled last year and broke all the tach etc.... but never fix the tach in it could the tach have anything to do with it not working ????

Not sure if it's the tach but I wouldn't think so... When you are riding the sled and you go to give it gas does it bog right away like the engine is going to die and then once it sits at idel for a second you can get back on the gas and it's working again?
the sled don't bog runs great it will shut down to idle for 1 or 2 min then go like it never happen

Did you bypass the TORS to rule that out?
