ski problem

04 sx viper s, I got new skis for it, just stock ones but where the spindle goes into the caliber I can't get them straight, as in I can't line the fittings up, either they stick way out, I move it one knoch over they stick in really far. how do I fix this
 
if you are referring to the steering arms at the top of the spindles, you need to adjust your tie rods. may or may not be an index mark on arms to spindle connection on the viper, i know the other models have them. to lazy to go outside and look.
 
there are locknuts at the heim joint connection and the steering rack under the engine. look closely at the rods and you will see a flat spot that you can fit a 12mm i believe end wrench on. once you overcome the nasty task of loosening the locknuts in the engine area, use this flat spot to turn the rods. pay attention to the fact that one end of the rod has lefthand threading. once your done adjusting, retighten the locknuts. jamnuts may be a better word than locknuts, but if you look, you will see what i mean. be sure and check ski alignment before tightening nuts.
 
I don't mean to jack your post...... But I'm in the same boat as you are...... Just replaced all of the following with OEM parts Radius Rods, Shocks, and Steering Tie Rods and this is the problem I have.

I can get one side dialed perfect ski straight and steering arm(arm on top of spindle) straight or lined up with trailing arm. But the other side is a differenct story..... When the ski is straight the steering arm is not lined up with spindle is that a problem. I tried to adjust the steering arm but it seemed like I wouldn't have very many threads left on the hiem. Does that make sense? And what would the problem be if that steering arm isn't lined up with trailling arm?

Yes I'm a sled rookie so pardon the questions but gotta learn sometime.

Machine is a 2000 MM 700.

hey octanefam don't worry about jacking my post! I am a rookie also and can't seem to get it right so the more I read about the same questions I have the more I learn so thanks!
