Sparks

Well i had my sled out tonight and my dad was standing at the house, and he said you could see sparks coming from under the tunnel somewhere. However it dosn\t do it very much...just the odd time it will. I have yet to see them when on the sled. But what do you guys think this may be?

sounds like the bearing of the main shaft is gone .........

where is the bearing on this shaft and also i'm new to sleds so where is the main shaft located and can you see this bearing and tell if this is the problem or does the dealer have to do this.

is the track studded? hear any slapping coming from the tunnel?

I have had the same spark issue with my Vmax. It doesnt start shooting sparks before about 80KM/h or so(out the left footwell). I also hear a "tinging" sound coming from down beside my left foot, it gets "faster" as the sled accellerates.

ya my track is studded but i know its not hitting the tunnel or heat exchangers because my track is tension proper because thats the first i check trying to limit my possibilities. However, its the same as waters88. It happens when i punch it, but not doing it all the time.

check the bearing mod mentioned. it's not a hard job if youre mechanically inclined, but it can be time consuming and if youre not good wrenching better off to take to a mechanic
