LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
My stepson and his friend where driving by and stopped in for a second. His friend just bought a 2002 MXZ 700.Told him I'll race him on the River one day.Don't think the SRX should have much problem with that sled.Should be a close race or what????

he might get you out of the hole and you may just pass him in 500 feet. I would only run the distance.
Are you both studded?

Ya,anything where you'll get to over 50 mph he don't have a chance. Put the kid in his place. He bought a Doo for goodness-sakes!

that's what I like to hear.I think years back when a bud of mine from down the road had a Mxz700 and I only had my SXR.We ran the river system and he was ahead of me just a liitle bit at the end.I always passed him on the corners, but then he caught me up.That was my little 600 don't forget.

i drove a mxz700 a few years back and it was quick, but not fast. lost steam at about 95mph.
You got about 25 hp more then the 700 plus it,s a single piped twin. They are not even in the same class. Kinda like beating up your little brother.
Just race him under the right conditions for your setup!
In 660 feet, my 81 440SRX Mod has beat our Improved Stock 700SX that can beat my 700SRX....LOL! [though, nothing ever beat my 866VMAX4 Mod in 660' -1000']
HP is only good if you are gett'n it to the ground!

In the right condition my 2003 700 deluxe will stay right with my srx... 110 mph on GPS...... that's bearing the speedo on the srx...
Right now I'm having a problem with a 2000 Summit 700 in 660ft, basically the same engine + sled but longer track. His track size is 2" paddle track compared to my stock .92 and 144 trail bent studs, it would be a different story if I had better traction we raced 4 times and he got me every time by a sled lenght

KIDDING RIGHT ? 3:16 (yammie tony)
In all seriousness...a well set up SRX 700 will run with the best 800s in 660',including the old MachZ tripples + the newer Revs...the 700 twins should not be too much of an issue.
Its a real notch in the belts of other brand riders to take down a SRX. It shows everytime you pull up to a pack of sleds with the attention our sleds draw. Some guys just stay the heck away from us others get aggresive.
If they have studded tracks + you don't...don't race them on ice!
if they run a 2" paddle...get them to run you on the hard pack. As I said earlier...to stay with a winning average...race on your terms + sometimes "Just say no"
LOL! Works for me!

My friend just had his motor redone and was in the break in stage and wanted to line up so I said yes and was surprise, but his sled does hook up great and Like I said I NEED TRACTION as these SRX like too spin with any clutch setup you throw at them. these are just some races we are doing and so far my SRX is breaking even
porting on a single pipe 700 might be 6-8 hp on a good day.Whammy said:Hope not .. Just got a hot doo..........ported with 100 less pounds.......

Like I said earlier.my 600 was giving my buds 700 MXZ a run for its money.Stayed with him but on a longer straight away he was pulling away on me.In the corners I passed him every time...lollll I think I am going to order studs for my SRX anyways. With a 1" Predator track I guess I will be going with 1.075 megabites with square single and double Alum backers and 144 studs. That won't give me more then a 1/16 bite.Maybe 1.175 would be better,as long as they are not to long.
