Belt diff is the most comen thing for the primary getting hot? It gets hot enough that I can not put my hand on it. I have a 8dn belt would a softer belt help?

belt slippage causes heat service both clutchs and see what wrong
Would having the sec wraped to tight cause the clutch to run hot? The thing pulls like hell maybe it was do to the tight trail I was in before I got home all I can do is go slow. So clutch is just engaged.

also inspect your center to center distance rear should be wrapped at 60 or 70 degrees
