OK. So after removing the skid, jackshaft, seat, chaincase and clutches on my 02 Viper ER I have this 10mm headed bolt left. I have looked everywhere I can not figure out where it came from. There is no indication of loctite on it so my thots are that it holds a plastic part.HELP!

Umm, Have you been down in my garage?
I use a magnet tray when it take things apart. When everything was put back together this 1.5" bolt with a 10mm hex head was left in it. I have one more bolt very similiar and its for the aircleaner. The long smoth shank makes me think it bolts a thick piece on.

that is a stumper. i've got 90% of my sled apart on a work table so i went out to check and i dont have one bolt that length of that size, mines an srx so i'd say it must go to something that isn't the same between the two sleds, or something on the skid since my proaction is gone

I was thinking skid too, but the shoulder on the bolt is pretty long to be holding anything through the rail... and i cant think of anything on the other parts that were taken apart that has a bolt like that... maybe something that bolts to the chaincase cover?

Its not a skid bolt.Too small. It also has no oil residue. Fairly clean.Might have to dive into the chaincase again.
