Just wondering how a srx motor will work in a viper chassis. Is there alot of changes to do.??And will the pipes work under the hood.

i think physically the engine will drop right in, you'll probably need all the srx electrical (at least all the ignition stuff), as far as the pipes guys here have put the srx pipes in vipers with viper engines with some modding so i think they'll go but from what i remember they had to do some cutting and patching of the belly pan, concept carbon is one member who did it, search his threads, i read one a while back that showed what he did

srx motor drops right in(done it and still driving it). Mine has viper cylinders on it so I could use the stock exhaust. 2001-02(that i know of) stator and flywheel/pullcord from viper fit, powervales fit, cdi and wire plugs all fit and work with viper gaugte if using viper cdi(plug and play). As for the main problems, coolant hoses run different as viper has remote mounted thermostat and srx is mounted in the colant rail. The srx has one pipconection on the bottom of the themostat housing and one on the top. I did pipe to these on mine but it involves some hood carving. I am having a aluminum plate with 1 pipe exit biult so that I can run the viper thermostat. Other thing is the carb heaters. The viper pipes them to the pto side of the head thru the carbs then to the viper thermostat. The srx goes from the coolant rail pto side to carbs to the water pump(viper water pump cover works and seals the hole). Other than that runs great and with the single pipe is a torque monster.

the power valves on a viper are abit longer then the srx ones... just a heads up... some people have used the viper pv's in the srx and vise versa... dont know what it could cause but yea...
