Hey guys did some reading up but didnt find anything overly what i was looking for..
As some of you saw im about to do a clutch set up for my buddy.. and i was reading that your better off tuning a clutch with a newer belt.
He has a newer belt but however it seems like its to short. the sled keeps moving when he slows down type of thing... is that normal? does it stretch out and work properly after breaking it in?

check to make sure center to center, and clutch alignment/offset are all good, is it the right belt?

Belt deflection seems off... there are 3, 8mm bolts on the back of the secondary, they have a point at the tip of the bolt .They keep the secondary open to where it should be! The point flattens out causing the belt to ride high. You can remove the washers on the bolts to make a quick fix but you need to replace the 3 8mm bolts. 8DN 17641-01-00 is stock belt, the older belts were 8DN 17641-00-00

ah ok thanks! ill let him know... the belt he has is a ultra max 2 which came off a 01 srx... the belt he has in it right now he is having no problems with though... just trying to get it ready for when we do the clutching we have a new belt on so the clutching will be spot on...
