Hi guys!! i have a quick question.. I did my primary clutch like the low buck setup (4.5 rivet in both hole and the recommended spring)

My secondary is still stock cuz i'm waiting the helix.

I tried the sled like that and i was expecting maybe some over rev but i'm on ly reaching 8100 on the RPM

Is it a consequence of not having the secondary done versus the primary or i should got more rpm???

i actually have a question about the set-up as well....I'm looking to load my 8dn-20's w/4.5 gram rivets...to me it looks like the outer hole already has a 4.5 gram (17.2mm) cus the rivet is longer than the inner hole rivet. so is the stock set up 17.2 mm(4.5g) outer hole and 13.9mm (3.6g) inner hole??

if so, i would be changing out the inner hole and not the tip like i originally thought......

hard to know which weights are in there unless you put them in yourself, it is nice to have a gram scale to check them. I had some 4.5 gram rivets already so i weighed the arm the way it was, removed the outer rivet, re-weighed then set the 4.5 weight in the scale also, right back to where it was. My loaded 8DN-20's weighed 52.5 grams loaded with 2- 4.5g rivets. Hope this helps.

the sled may not be making HP,,are carbs clean and adjusted jetted properly?,PV clean AND adjusted RIGHT? track deflection on,etc etc...

thats a tryed and true set up thats works allot of memebers run it no problems

Anytime you are trying to improve your performance through clutching you have to ensure you are working with "like new" clutches + drive belt. If you have high mileage clutches you have to put them back to within their as new tolerances on the bushings, sliders, rollers ect.
We all have to remember that when most of these clutch kits/set ups were put together, by our knowlegeable + helpfull members, SRXs were still in production so pretty well all of them were still low mileage enough to be in "like new" condition.

Also need to remember on the same note as bob posted up top is when someone recommends or you read about a clutch set up you need ALL the components for it to work not some or most you need all of the set up.

I have 22/40 gearing with 8 tooth drivers which is 2.045 :1 ratio, I had a 1.75 track, blew that off,due to my rail tip not being secure. Now I have 2", I had 5.5 gram in each hole, www primary, 54/44 bender helix,Green secondary spring I was under reving by almost 600 rpm, So I changed, just my tip weight ,to 3.5 and now I pull Like a freight train,at WOT 8200 rpm and raises to 8500, but like the boys said, every one wants something different.... How would you like the same as everyone else? Dare to be different! Adjust Accordingly! Mega low buck, Is not for everyone, especially if your runnin lower gearing and taller tracks! Alot of people on here know what they want and what works for them. I know the mega buck Is not what I need! So I tune myself, With help of course!
