VIPER Driveshaft

I took out the driveshaft and on the clutch side of the shaft is tappered..Is it supposta be that way??? Or do I need to get a new one?? I just don't want to do this all again next year...

Anyone have a set of drive gears with the shaft that thay could take a look at for me please!!!!

Just had my driveshaft out last week. Didn't notice any taper on the clutch side. Post a pic.
