help heel clicker clutching

in need help on clutching . i set my clutchs up last year and i thought i had them set preaty good but i was checking out my primary clutch last week and i found a crack in the outer part of clutch . i was told i was from heat . i replaced the clutch with a used clutch with less miles and no cracks . i installed all my springs and weights . put back on sled and went for test ride i feels goood but after two passes i checked primary clutch it was hot . so what i have is a 2000 sxr 700 heel clicker clutch kit in the heel i have 4.3 in the middle i have 3.4 and the tip has none . red spring the secondary has green spring set at 60 with a 45/39 helix i have 8 tooth drivers and 1 1/4 rip saw track the gears are 24 - 38 .l also have bender tripple pipes. when i when on the test run i put a line down the primary clutch and when i got back the belt is only going a 1/4 the way to the top and clutch is very hot . also the RPM when i took off was 8200 and went up to 8600 and stayed . i dont know were to go with it . thanks steve :2strokes:

STEVE, IF YOUR CLUTCHES ARE HOT TO TOUCH YOUR SLIPING THE BELT. THATS WHAT CAUSE THIS. MOST OF THE TIME, THE PROBLEM IS IN YOUR SECONDARY. YOU NEED STIFFER SPRING IN SECONDARY OR MORE TWIST. NOW THAT TOPIC BEEN HIT HARD HERE BUT I FOUND BENDER TRIPLES REALLY RUN AT 9000 ON A RED HEAD. WE RUN A RED SX ON THE TAR WITH BENDER TRIPLES AT 9000, 10.18 @ 125. NOW, NOT ALL MOTORS ARE ALIKE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
You need more secondary wrap. I ran hc,s on a piped 700 red head & found that a silver at 60 wrap was what it needed. Your probably gonna have to add more weight to compensate.
 
Try green at 80 to see if it gets better but be prepared for a raise in rpm,s. Your really need a silver at 60 wrap tho..it,s not the same.
 
Ran em in 3 different sleds as well as drag racing em. Holeshot at 82-8300 climbing to 8600 on top...very similar to a 00-02 700 sRX.

I removed the green spring and wraped at 80 . also added weight to the primary . made three runs back to back . clutch still very hot . so i ordered a need silver spring set it at 60 wrap . made three runs . still very hot . so i set the wrap at 80 . made three runs still very hot . so i tryed wrap at 100 . made three runs now it is better . but not cool. waht should i do . it looks like i many need a stiffer spring .
 
In a lot of conditions your going to get hot clutches running wot especially on back to back runs...nature of the beast.
