So I just took my dads basically new 06 venture 600 (two stroke) out after I cleaned the carbs for this year, i was going probably 15 mph only and hit a huge patch of ice in my field and my back end slid out really slow. so i wasnt thinking and didnt punch the throttle, it caught and flipped. the windshield is completly fine, just the black plastic piece that the spedo/tach is mounted to cracked straight through. and the little plastic pieces for the air intake on one side is kind of bent just a tiny bit. I need a new main plastic piece for where the spedo mounts though. ANY idea where i could get only this part? anyone know if that piece cand be removed? im hoping just this part will come out and i dont need a whole new hood. Thanks!

It's kinda funny actually... in an ironic way ;-)
I know, i'm dreading telling my dad.
Just be a man and tell him about it.
I would start out by saying you bought and ordered some parts for his sled that needs replaced. Tell him you had an accident and how sorry you are about it but taking responsibility. He will have alot more respect then trying to hide it.
Ask him to help you put the new parts on.

Sounds like all you need is the black gauge pod. Not sure what you bent for the intake you mention

Put in Yamaha, 2006, Venture 600, and then go under windshield, scroll down and it is numbers 12 and 13. Number one is the black piece that i think i need
