Well i have posted a post about a week ago about sparks coming from either under the left floor board or tunnell. Someone thought it was comin from the main shaft, however i went out tonight just to start the sled and look over things however now i hear a thunking noise coming from the clutch when it engages. Now i wonder if the sparks is coming from clutch and the thunking is causing the problem. Any thoughts

does it have a electric start ??? sometime bolts get loose on ring gear clutch

nop..i was wondering if one of the sheeves is gone because this could make it spark..but not sure with the clunking..not sure tho..

check all your bearings on that side(jackshaft, driveshaft, crankshaft) only steel to steel will spark, clutch sheeves are aluminum and will not spark, rollers and weights could,i dont think bushings will either

ok..so the sparks is def a bearing which is an easy fix once finding out which one it is...

if they are on the out side of the sled under foot board my guess would be drive shaft if on top of foot board my guess would be jack shaft. hope this helps
