I guess it's typical that when the speedometer stops working its a good indicator that the LH side bearing has died? I just purchased the sled and wanted to see why the speedo wasn't working. I put the back on a jack stand and disconnected the cable at the speedo to see if it was an instrument cluster issue or something else. The cable wasn't rotating so I pulled the 3 nuts at the speedo drive unit and it was all mashed to hell and no balls are left in the bearing and it wasn't sitting centered. I looked on ebay and found one of the bearings PN 93306-20589-00 for 45.00, after looking at ronnies I got a new one shipped for around $35.00 w/ new set screws. What else should I be on the look out for when I tear it down to replace the bearing? Also any advice would be greatly appreciated.

did you get the new speedo drive cable that goes in there? just a short 1" or two piece. clean out the axle hole so it can seat properly in there also.
I got the drive in the center and the housing it's self (that the cable hooks too.) Dropping the whole track does not sound like fun. Going to hoist the back up and go to town tomorrow. Have another project in the way right now. Check all the other wheels ect in the track as well I assume? I'll obviously have to let tension off the track as well..?
