Help. have a 02 Viper bone stock 2600 miles. Got it out this year cleaned carbs and power valves as always but now when I punch it from a dead stop it falls on it's face. Put fresh gas in and checked fuel screws (1 7/8 out) and it still does it. Anyone have any idea ? It acts lean when coming to a stop too. Idles high then comes down after a bit. Thanks in advance for any help.

When you say you checked fuel screws, what do you mean? Just checked what they were at, or did you try changing them? I would try changing them to 2 turns out from lightly seated. It will help the hanging idle and should help the bog also.

Also, Check your throttle cable. Make sure it's got slack. The dreaded TORS problem could be messing with you. How high is your idle? Soc

try 2 turns on fuel screws as already suggested and are you sure that you got all the crap out of the pilot jets and pilot circuit passages?

I have that stupid TORS thing i think, where it the sled sled like makes a crazy burping sound and makes you come to a complete stop before it will run agian....how do you fix it? can't i just unplug something?

Either your throttle is to tight, make sure there is slack in the cable, which is usually the problem. Or you have a faulty switch. Down by the carbs there is a pair of wires with identical connectors except they are reversed. Unplug them and plug the throttle side wires to together completing the circut and try it. If that cures it. Do a search on TORS here and test your switches. Please don't ride it with the TORS bypassed, stuck throttle is a bad thing...

cable has slack, doesn't do the miss-fire like the tors. I will open the screws up to 2 turns. Yea I had screws and pilots completely out and cleaned everything. Thanks for all the replys. I'll post after I try the screws.
