I'm in the process of adding reverse to my 01 SRX. I purchased a reverse kit from an 03 Viper. I'm interested in doing the E-Brake shifting option rather than cutting my hood for the lever. I have been searching to find a simplified instruction for my specific situation with no luck. Here are my questions.
1. What, beside the 03 Viper Kit will I need?
2. Do I pretty much just use the gears and chain that came with the kit? Are they the same gears as my 01 SRX?
3. Do I need a special bracket for the E-Brake connection?
4. Do I need a different E-Brake cable
5. Do I need to use the entire Viper chain case or just the cover?
I'm praying I don't need additional parts. Just got dumped with snow and really don't want any downtime.
Any advice and help is greatly appreciated.

you just need to use the gears and chain and the cover and that sould be it, and for the E-brake thing i dont have a F*&%ing idea but good luck
which way you want to do it i have 2 different setups .......best thread for you to read is the one chilli started and i walked him thru and made the bracket he needed .....
So, I have to make a bracket? that's what I was afraid of. I thought I read somewhere that someone, maybe you YA*AM*A*HEAD, came up with an easier way without having to make a bracket. I don't have the experience or equipment to fabricate something.
Also, I read through chili's thread. Poor guy went through a whole lot to do something that should only take a couple of hours. I'm trying to avoid that.
ya was a lot of work .....ill get some pics of the easier setup when i get home today
