im looking at a 2002 srx the guy wants $2900 its got 3000 miles some clutch work, picked track real clean is it worth it
02 SRX on KBB books for $2900 and that is RETAIL as if a dealer was selling it.
I would offer $2500
I would offer $2500
I'd talk him down to $2500...check the rear skid W arm for cracks, the powervalves for pull throughs/cleanliness and do a compression test and if everything checks out snatch it up.

thats what i was thinking 23-25 thanks
I think 23 is kind of a low ball... 2500 is a good fair price for both parties
wow sleds really don't hold their value in the US...an 02 here in ontario would go for 3000-3500.

ya i know from what ive read on here 23 is low but im not rich and hes a friend of my brothers thought id start lower and let him work up LOL
Its the economy. People don't know what their sleds are actually worth now days and they get all kinds of pissed off when you give them an offer on what their sled is actually worth or even try to ask them why they are asking so much.
I have lost about $15,000 in value over the last 2 years on my 2004 Corvette and they normally hold their value very good.
My house has lost about $20,000 in value in the last 3 years

If you thought a 96 vette was fast you should get behind the wheel of a newer one with a LS motor, I do workfor a friend on a 04 Z06 that run's into the high 11's with just a tune and headers and goes 10's on 100 shot. Those cars are scary fast just outta the box
I have an 04 ZO6 COM Edition. Bone stock. I might do some things to it sooner or later.
going to keep it. very fun to drive

If it has the stock yoko track Check it! if all the clips are on it and the lugs aren't falling apart then that is a good indicator that it wasn't really beat on.Check the tunnel & frnt/rr exchangers for deep stud marks and the W arm for damage.
I can tell ya from a professional stand point that the KBB is not really a realist assesment of a vehicles value Just a vague guide.
I with the SRX's being harder to find (ones that haven't been beat to death) I can't see their value going any lower for 2000 & newer.
The canadian market sleds came stock with Ohlins too.

8 months ago I bought an 01 SRX long traveled front and rear with Ohlins for $2600
It was the best offer he had on it

wow that's cheap. How do yoi like the handling with the longtravel? Mine seems tippy and I have the stock suspension. I keep thinking about putting it back to stock.
I have yet to ride it.. 11 more days till I fly home to Michigan to ride it. It has the pioneer long travel shocks in the rear and ohlins up front with a 1 inch extension. 192 picks
Sled is clean as can be with 2800 miles on it

i agree with anything 2000 and newer, they hold value pretty good around me. here that price ant bad without jewing him down. but with the economy nobody wants to spend so it may take a while to get rid of even if they are good deals right now. 3000 miles aint bad either, i have over 7,000 on mine and alot of those srx's out there have alot more - no problems either. awsome sleds should have never quit making them.
