I wish you would rule out your powervalves so this thread can turn back into a discussion about clutching. Im interested in your set-up and it seems that the input from the guru's on here has ceased untill you verify you PV's are functioning, clean and properly adjusted.
No, if they're not fully opening, gunked up or pulled through it will likely still run good at low rpm's.

what makes you think the idle screw has something to do w/the bottom end bog? why don't you try what has already been suggested to you, by everyone who gave you some things to try? seems like your scared to open up the power valves and take a peak??

Ive never taken apart powervalves before and a friend who has alot of yamaha experience said they arent an easy chore and at the end of the job you have to resync them using a battery?

there is a guide to setting them in the tech pages, under engine.
do a search on here there is alot of info on cleaning them, members trying different cleaning products, techniques, etc...
you gotta clean em eventually, may as well learn to do it now and then you can omit this as a cause of your problem...
i never heard of anything with a battery, but I'm still new here. I did mine the way it explains on here by Mr. viper and it worked great, took me about an hour total to clean them and adjust them..

the reason the talk of adjusting w/a battery comes into play, is because bender, maxx perf, and i'm sure others, sold and may still sell, a tool that hooks up to a battery and to the wiring harness, and puts the servo motor to the full open position. then, the tuner/mechanic, can adjust his power valves, so they are flush w/the exhaust port roof......this is another method used by some to adjust. some follow the repair manual to a "T" and others do it this way. i do it the battery way, as i have the tool and feel its the most accurate method.

yea your right the same method you use with the battery setting the servo is the one that my buddy used on his yammi sleds. But anyway I will check the pvs and so I will rule that out so we can continue with this clutching thread.
