Need crank, rods, cylinder & piston

Took my just purchased 98 VMAX 700 SX for its first run and within 10 miles it blew up. These are the parts I will probably need. Does anyone know a source for used parts?

there are way to many Yamaha motors blowing up this season.What is going on,don`t let the guys on doo-talk find this out..they`ll just trash Yamaha.

tear it down first you may not need the lower end or top end. Don't make deals before you know what you need for sure

Goin through the same thing myself. First time ever on a snowmobile wasnt a good one.

That's some kind of had blowup if you need rods and a crank. I don't think I have ever seen a Yamaha rod with an issue.

Do a tear down and see what is what. You will possibly save your self a lot of work in the end.

when i took mine apart after it blew up the rod got so hot on the crank. the rod actualy looks like it was dropping(egg shaped and all blue) must have had rust on the bearings from not fogging the sled properly. it wasted the crank,cases,and one cylinder and pistion.
