1996 VMax Pro Action handling problem

Ok, I went riding with my cousin on New Year's Eve. He has a very similar sled to mine. I have a 96 Vmax 600 Pro action with a studded OEM track. He has a 96 Vmax 600 with a bad rear shock and no studs. I took a comparison ride on his sled, and his is way easier to control. My sled always feels like it will veer off track and crash at any decent speed (50mph or more). It is not like the front end is out of alignment. It wants to go in either direction. I got the sled late last season, and didn't go far with it. I don't see any obvious broken parts.

your XT is sitting up higher so it's going to seem more tipsy and darty,check ski toe,adjust for a little + toe out should help.

stock skis, wear bars??
 
I have stock skis with ski skins. My wear bars still have a little left in them (the carbide part). How do I go about checking and adjusting my toe out.
 
Being higher up makes sense. My cousin was thinking that the studded track was part of the blame. I believe it has #96 studs.
 
Like daman said...and also you might check the slop in the "scissor" knuckles and see if any shims are missing or extras needed. I would also check your TSS dampers to see if one is spent. That could make for a weird ride...
