srx starts then stalls ?

i have a 2001 srx700 starts and stalls for the first 3-4 times then stays running and is fine after that but if i shut it off its the same problem hot or cold before this problem it would start then almost completely die then catch itself and stay running all with in a matter of 1-2 seconds but now it stalls nearly instant. If i feather the throttle it will start, run and idle fine. Carbs have been cleaned and this stalling problem just begun. Feedback would be appreciated thanks.

sounds like this could be the relay that stops the lights from coming on until the engine has started. The dealer replaced mine in 2002 because that was happening (since new). Never had that problem again once the relay was replaced. It's one of the relays above your left foot. It's surprising that this is just starting now, it that is the problem.
