Got a 02 viper with slp triples with 8bn-20s with 3.6g rivets in both holes and stock helix wraped at 80 to 90, stock rollers and springs. on cooler days it will turning right up to about 88-8900. when it warms up to about 35 degrees out it only wants turn 82-8500. The same thing happens on colder days when i start to run the sled hard but then when i go back to just cruzing and i pin it, it will jump to 8800. what should i do? i have a green sec. spring i think im going to try? should i leave those rivets and go to a 53/43 helix with the green spring? im just looking to improve the clutching for more aggressive pull and all around performance....

also, going going to a larger 15.6 roller how will that effect peak rpms? i know the larger the roller the less force does that mean lowered rpm?

larger rollers increase engagement rpms and full shift rpms. you have it right, that larger rollers = less shift force. just remember, less shift force, less load on engine, so higher rpms. more shift force from small rollers = more load, so lower rpms.

Im guessing the heavier snow on warmer days is lugging your motor down. You may want to try and change the weight in your weights. try 4.5 center and 2.4tip with green spring. Im know clutching expert but it would get your rpms up. and you would be able to use the green spring, and adjust for conditions with your secondary spring tension before you go out.

i just changed out the spring to a grean wraped at 60. it jumps to about 8900 but around 100mph they fall back to 8600 or so. im thinking the helix? i really need a 53/43!! cant find one cheaper than 120 bucks!!!WTF

try removing a gram of weight from your tips if your losing rpm on top end

try a 51/43 helix.Worked great for me end of last season. Was running stock 47 when it was basically below 0.But when temps went above 0.the 51/43 was dead on..probably the best runs I did on a +7C day and hitting 118 on speedo.I also had the 8dn-20's loaded as always.

stick with what you have nothing wrong with a 53/43, take a gram out of the tip simple and under $5.

I want to wait till i get the 53/43 helix before i start removing wieght. what brand helix do you recommend and what style cut? progressive?
also what primary spring should i be running? i have the stock y-w-y and a g-w-g. the g-w-g didnt seem to make a difference at all. they both engage at like 3500 and no affect on peak rpm
