Fuel Light

Hey guys,
I have a 04 Viper and the fuel light comes on really early. The light comes on after 8 gallons are used. IS this normal? Is there a way to make it come on later? like at 10 galons used?
 
im guessing its a common issue, eve had 2 of them and both came on really early, like 1/4 tank. i never thought too much of it though cause at quarter tank its time to start looking for a station cause in my area may be a while before you get to one, someone who doesnt know the trails may get into trouble easy here.
 
yea i agree that it is better to come on early. When the fuel light comes on the gauge show 1-2 bars at the bottom. I think the tank holds 12 gallons. I filled it right when the light came on and it took 8 gallons. Not a big deal. Just didnt know if there was a way to change it.

yes 12 gallons it holds,was just getting at if gauge was off you could adjust the float arm in the tank to read a little closer,but it dont seem to bad,id run it.....
