Racheting problems

Over the off season I installed a transfer enhancement kit from Mountain Performance. They allow the rear suspension to compress all the way. It saves six pounds and allows for more ski lift.

Now that the suspension can completely compress, the sled is racheting when it is compressed. My friend did the same mod to his Mtn Max and the sled doesn't rachet.

So before I change it back to stock I thought I'd ask if anyone else has had this problem and what thier solution was. I know anti rachet drivers will solve the problem, but I don't want to spend the money.

How tight is your track? If it is not banjo tight, try tightening it a turn at a time until it stops ratcheting, then back off half a turn on the adjuster to see if it stopped.

Transfer straps allow the front of the rear suspension to collapse which loosens the track tension causing the racheting. Try tightening the transfer straps and tightening the centre shock.
