Well, I got to run my new to me Viper ('02 non-ER) last weekend and what a blast! This sled really runs! After being out of sledding for Many years, things sure have changed!

After riding the first day, something changed to the handling of the sled. It became VERY loose in the rear. After thawing it out on Sunday, I discovered that the rear middle wheel had lost the bearing. The wheel is still there but the bearing is gone. I tried everywhere to order a new wheel and the 4th wheel kit, but the 4th wheel kit is, and has been on backorder for some time now. I've got to take it apart anyways, figured I might as well put the 4th one in.

Question is: Can I get another wheel 8CR-47550-10-00 and just cut the long spacer? What else does the kit have? Does anyone know the EXACT lengths?

Thanks!

The Viper ROCKS!

Dave - You are correct just cut the spacer. No need for a kit. Sorry don't have the spacer size. Its easy to figure out.

A 4th wheel kit is really only needed if your running studs with higher speed turns, helps rail the track.

Running 144 studs 3/8" above the paddle (Yokohama track .92") and upgrading to a 6" Woodies carbide too!

You can make your own 4th wheel kit. Cut a piece out of the long spacer the same length as the other short spacer. Then cut out a piece the same width as the bearing.
I think there is a write up of this in the tech area.

Their is a write up under the tech section in misc. I just did what stein said. Check ebay for those wheels, i got 2 with bearings for 18 a piece.
