Appleton isn't all to far away from CB Performance. Brucedoes crank bearings all the time, and does them well. Maybe check them out or call im www.cbperformanceparts.com or call 847-344-1457
 
hey thanks for the link, i actually have a hook up in Green Bay which is even closer that i think is a similar type shop. Its looking like having my crank rebuilt is going to be the way to go, that way i know what ive got rather than banking on a used crank being cared for. I didnt even think 2 cycle cranks were something that got repaired, i always thought it was something you bit the bullet on and replaced....unfortunatly im up to 7 blown cranks on various things lol.....thanks to Polaris triples no offence to anyone.....i think ill have it back on the trail soon.....ill try and post some picks of the parts i smoked
 
alright heres another question, would a chipped reed valve be part of the problem? Ive heard this can cause a lean issue as well and im not sure if my reed is chipped enough but just asking?

Is it recommended to clean the carbs every season?

It doesn't seem like dirty carbs would blow an engine, but then again, my previous Yammy only had one carb. I guess the difference is having multiple carbs and all not working properly at the same time.

Don't blast me, just trying to make sense of it.

yamaha carbs over lap each circuit by a %,low, mid ,top,sooo if on the edge jetting is being used or riding at night when temps drop and sleds run leaner and you have a partial plugged pilot that's leaning mid range(needles,mostly used) out little more squeeeeak could happen!
