99 SX600 Pilot Screw Setting

try going out to 2 1/4 and see what happens. If 2 turns is stock recommended setting then I think it is safe to say that if you get to 2 1/2 turns and the bog still exists then you should try jumping up a size in the pilots and try that. Are the needles in the middle position? You may be able to lift the needle or use a shim kit to add fuel in the low end.

I have the same sled and had a very similar problem - not quite as bad as yours. To correct the problem I went to 47.5 pilots and 1-1/2 turns out on fuel screws and it runs great now. To really wake that sled up put in Turk's trail clutch kits (primary and secondary) with the silver secondary spring at 60deg., drop one tooth on your top gear and do the head gakset mod. You won't believe how much HP gain you will get. Also, do the Viper shock (front and back) and limiter strap change and it makes the sled ride much better without loosing the slot car turning capability. I have over 10,000 miles on mine with this set up and love it.
