I am looking for some advise on my SRX clutches. I don't know much about them, but do most of my other work.
My question is: can you work on the primary and secondary without special tools?
More importantly, are the springs under extreme pressure, or can you disassemble these clutches by hand, (being careful of course)?
I think I tried a homemade compressor on the secondary, and if I remember the spring was under quite a bit of pressure.
Can I pull the outer cover off of the primary, by hand, to work on the weights and bushings?
I have read several posts about clutching where people are trying different setups and I was wondering if everyone had these tools, or can it be done without them.
Any advise would help before I end up with a surprise in the face! LOL!

All I needed was a clutch puller for my primary, I took both clutches apart by hand. If you don't have a puller yet, make sure you get a good one, they can be stubborn to get off sometimes and I bent a cheap puller the first time I tried pulling my primary.

no special tools needed to work on the spring and weights and rollers in primary or the helix or spring on the secondary, there is spring pressure on the primary have to take off slow and equal, there is spring and twist pressure on secondary take off slow and equal
