Went out riding this morning. Was a beautiful sunny day with temps about -15F. Who said the Apex Mtn. is heavy? lol

Last pic doesn't do the hill justice. It's taller than it looks.

Thats awesome! Bet you had a great time on that hill

Yea I sure did, don't think our Viper Mtns would've made it without some really good speed.

Rode a 05 Viper Mtn stock for the last 2 years. I've always wanted an Apex Mtn ever since I test rode the 07's back in 06 out in West Yellowstone, and this year I finally bought one. All I can say is, now I'm spoiled, feels weird going back to a Viper actually. Absolutely love it and I don't regret buying it one bit. It sure is nice to just turn the key, let it warm up and go. But I still love the scream of my old 97 SX redhead 700 too, doubt I'll ever sell that one.

I'd love to ride the backcountry up there with it, but that Apex will sadly be leaving my garage this year onto my uncle. It got replaced last January...

I wouldn't want to get one stuck..the SRX stuck was a b*tch to deal with, never mind a heavy 4 stroke yet..

Dont tell me that I just made the switch to 4-stroke!!!

I had to get a new sled after putting the Mountain Max through 2 seasons of hell, probly would of lasted a couple more but I'm jumping on the Apex this year.

When your in the deep a stuck sled is heavy no matter what it is.

x2, buy yourself a shovel and a snobunje, I've had my Apex stuck many times, you learn the tricks of how to get them unstuck quite fast

Sometimes it's as easy as just digging a little ramp out the front to get a little momentum, others not so much

i agree a stuck is a stuck, but after riding a apex for 5 seasons, 2 smokers look promising. A Apex on a diet is still heavier than my friends m8's

I won't go back to a 2 smoke, I'll always have them around though. From what I've read, rode, and heard a 4 stroke turbo sounds more prominsing than a 2 smoke turbo.

I also heard this as well, theres no chance of me going back to 2-stroke anytime soon.

can't beat the 2 stroke sound..and that smoke is sweet!!! SRX forever here.Love my 2 strokes and no need to go 4 stroke..especially for what they cost...if you blow a motor on one of them babies...might as well chuck the whole sled...

You really can't beat the sound of a stock redhead 700 2 smoke, I absolutely love it. I won't ever sell that sled either. And I'll still ride it every year.

But hear the sound of an Apex turbo under load and then the blow-off valve...boost, it really is an addiction. I need to buy a turbo :)

I got into my 4 strokes for around 6000-7000. You can get into them for abour 4000-5000. And as far as a motor ever going out on a 4 stroke, unless you have it turbod with detonation, the chances are very slim to none.

I am just a sleepy bluemonster I guess..lol..I have 2 sleds in mint shape now a 600 and a 700 2 stroke.Just rebuilt motors last year, suspension totally rebuilt and front end work this fall..There really is no need for another sled as this will do me for many years to come.If you have $$ to burn..by all means go for it.I wouldn't be further ahead purchasing a 4 stroke.I can buy a lot of fuel and oil for my 2 strokes for the price of a 4 stroke..like 10 years worth at least..by that time don't think I will be sledding anymore. This is just my situation..everyone has different situations. If I can win a lottery..maybe..just maybe I would look into a 4-stroke sled..lol
