Hi, i have a question. when my 03 viper is idling, every few seconds there is a wierd noise coming from the engine compartment somewhere's it sounds almost like a whirring noise... almost like an electric motor starting up. When this happens the rpm's drop a bit and the engine even makes a different noise, almost like a bogging sound. It only lasts a few seconds and then the engine idles perfect again... then a few seconds later the noise comes back again. almost sounds like an electric blower motor starting up.... a deep whirring sound. Pretty wierd, anyways just wanted to know if any of you guys ever experienced anything like this before? Thanks.

did you try removing shims off the secondary? Is it a new belt? could be from that, that you are getting noise only a suggestion.

Yeah, i cleaned the carbs... i had an issue with the high idle where the rpms would creep up by itself and engage the clutch and then fall back. It used to keep going up and down by itself... thats fixed now but i have the fuel screws at 2 turns out, i am wondering if i need them out some more? it has been ported and has high compression heads so maybe they need to be out some more? It also pops a bit when it is cold idling but not after it warms up. Thanks for the replys!
