Hi,
My 03 viper idles real high 3000+ if try to turn down it seams like running on 2 cyl. turned idle screw all the way up to lower idle but is still high 3000+ give gas and only bogs. turn idle up 3000+And will go, cleand carbs twice didn't help
dissabled TORS didn't help. Maybe air leak? didn't see any cracked carb boots

Bought new, all OEM, sled has 5,000 miles

Thanks!

When cleaning the carbs did you blow compressed air thru all the ports and jets? You may have something in there still. How many turns out do you have on the idle screws? Most Vipers are happy at 2 full turns. Check the choke and throttle cables. They need a little slack in them at the carb rack.

Did that twice. Cables have slack. 2 turns on all 3 on fuel screws.

what could this be?

Gotta take carbs back apart, pilot jet is plugged on one carb. When u have the pilot jet out, hold it up to the light, you should see light thru it. Once these are clean, you can lower the idle and it will run great

Jets are very clean

Well, we got all the easy and obvious covered.Mine had a high idle but that was due to the choke cable being a little too tight. Check the carb boots and make sure the carbs are seated.
