my 99srx vs 99mach 1

A guy down the road has a mach 1 700 tripple tripple. He has a fresh motor and clutch work studs and im sure some other stuff that he wont tell me about. My 99srx 700 has bender transfer rods, 144 new picks (have them in outerband as well) 3500 miles on it with clean carbs, clean tight clutch, indexed sparkplugs toward intake port. Oh I all most forgot it also has the srx600 decal mod as well. I think I have about 50lbs on the guy. He is not a cocky guy and that makes me worried. How have you guys that have owned srxs for a while do against the mach's?
 
your gonna be in front if your clutch set-up is perfect they don't do alots of power vs srx
 
Im overshooting my rpms on long pulls to about 8700 going to fix that sometime. But will have to go as is.
 
Mach 1, with proper clutching is a weapon. Don,t take him lightly & tune your sled. The 97 Mach 1 was the fastest tho & the 98 with centre dump pipes was the slowest.
