My guess is Rich would have waited as long as the guy needed, as long as the guy gave him unsolicited updates.
...and as Rich mentioned, everyone has strokes of bad luck but it's no excuse for shrugging responsabilities. Although it sounds like perhaps the guy makes his own bad luck.
Rich, you might want to take Dave up on his offer. The guy is more than an hour from me but I'd eat all the costs of getting the CDI back to you for a hamburger on Tuesday... er, ah, powervalve service at season's end. You'll be getting them come spring time regardless.
Hope it works out without having to open up a can.

mopar...I know there are some good deals on e-bay,I for one really don`t shop on there...a couple of times only.Actually bought a 500 cc motor for my vintage cat from Idaho..I took a chance and it made it,motor runs great to...guess I lucked out...Mainly for small items the shipping costs scare me off.
NOPE not yet talked to him yesterday said dan DR YAMAHA ,,,lost it in his garage for a few days but he finally found it yesterday and mailed it out ...so i should be here by weekend but i aint holding my breath ...

yes i marled the corner of it ...i am no fool ......but still no sight of the cdi box ....and sitting here mad as hell i let my finger do the walking and reversed looked up his address and what did i find but his home phone number so i called and asked for jay and was told he wasnt home ....so i told his wife or girlfriend he needs to call me cause i am going to michigan tomorrow to meet snowcrosser and i will be stopping by his house to get my 75 dollars or my cdi box one way or the other .....she said she dont think she can get ahold of him tonight but will try .....so i am laying it all on the line here
